This conceptual class project was to create a new brand for the city of Northfield, MN in order to enhance the economic vitality of the community by attracting new residents, visitors, corporate meetings, conferences, and events.
We wanted to reintroduce Northfield as a modern destination for residents, tourists, and businesses alike, retaining and showcasing the values, heritage, culture, and natural beauty of the classic midwest town.
The word mark is made up of 5 different icons that are used throughout the wayfinding system. These are the 5 key pillars that Northfield offers to its residents and tourists.
